Introduction to The Lightning Experience

What is Lightning?
 
Lightning for Salesforce - by now, we are sure you have heard of it or noticed it appear as an option in Jungo. So, what is it? It’s basically a face-lift to the Salesforce interface we are all used to seeing. The following article is a breakdown of items you will notice about the new Lightning interface. 

 
  • The foundation of the Lightning experience is based on icons and symbols, rather than words. Many things have received a small icon in place of a title like tasks and events, accounts, contacts, and transactions. The idea behind this is to make the transition between your desktop version and mobile version smoother.
  • You can switch back and forth from Classic to Lightning as preferred. Here’s how:
    • In Classic: click on your name in the top right-hand corner
    • Select “Switch to Lightning Experience”
    • In Lightning: click on your photo in the top right-hand corner select “Switch to Salesforce Classic”
  • There are a few items that have not yet become available in Lightning, but Jungo is working hard to make sure they will be accessible very soon:
    • Documents – banners, logo, and letterhead editing
    • Recent Items & Custom Links
    • The Mortgage Calculator
    • The Training Center – now, just go directly to help.ijungo.com
